Wallace Willis Clement Woodall Clement Woodall and wife Sarah were numbered among the early settlers of Marion County. The son of James Woodall and wife Agnes Hicks, Clement Woodall was born in 1802 in Johnson County, North Carolina. It was there he married Sally Messer, daughter of Samuel Messer and wife, Sarah Odum. Clement and Sarah Woodall came to Georgia c1830 and settled in Marion County near Phillippi Primitive Baptist Church. They joined Philippi by letter during conference of church on Saturday, April 1, 1843 and remained active members there until their deaths. Children: Abner Woodall, b. 1830 d. 1917, m. Mary Jane Chapman. Parents of Jimmy Woodall, Mauk. Jacob Woodall, b. 1833, d. 1862 (in War Between the States) m. Elizabeth Lightner. Kelite Woodall, b 1835, d. ?, m. Samantha Stephens Feb. 28, 1856 Caroline Woodall, b. 1836, d. ? Jasper Woodall, b. 1837? D. 1907, m. Maranda Stephens Sarah Woodall, b. 1842, d. 1893, m. William W. Chapman Jan. 22, 1857 Clement Woodall died in Marion County in 1865 and was buried at Phillippi Cemeter as was his wife Sarah when she died in 1885.
