Peoples Family Lot At entrance to cemetery there is a lot containing several graves of the Peoples Family. Lot is enclosed with a rusted metal fence to which the family name was for a long time attached. The Peoples were a Caucasian family that had been using this site as a burial ground before African-Americans from Mahalia Chapel began burying there, according to Aytch Wooden, Jr, who grew up in Mahalia Chapel.
