Phillips, daughter of Charles H. and Bethana (Hand) Bradshaw. Headstone reads "Our mother" - dphill4502@aol.com is researcher) Phillips, S.F. 11/8/1836 - 4/1/1908 (Solomon F. Phillips, Primitive Baptist Elder, son of Elijah (Primitive Baptist Elder) and Rebecca (Phillips) Phillips. Solomon and Cynthia had 11 children (Rebecca Ann, Wesley Franklin, Solomon Elijah Jefferson, Emily Angeline, James William, Laura Melissa, John M., Cater Norris, Adolphus, Bartley Ellis, and Cynthia Irene). Solomon's headstone reads " S.F. Phillips Born Nov. 8, 1836, Married C.J. Estate papers signed by appraisers September 9, 1871 in Marion County, GA He was the son of James R. and Martha (Parnell) Phillips and was married first to Rebecca Phillips and second to Martha Ann Stringfellow. (Martha is buried in County Line Primitive Baptist Cemetery with her third husband, A.A. Chalkley) He was a Primitive Baptist Elder and served the following churches: 1842 New Hope Macon Co. 1843 Bethel Taylor Co. 1845 Union Macon Co. 1849 Bethel Taylor Co. 1850 Antioch Randolph Co. 1850 Providence Sumter Co. 1850 Mt. Gilead Marion Co. (reconstituted as County Line) Rebecca Phillips - marked by stones Born in 1801 in Georgia, died before April 1866. She was the daughter of Lemuel and Elizabeth Phillips and married Elijah January 9, 1820 in Morgan County, GA. She and Elijah had three known sons, Solomon F., Elijah, and Thomas Jefferson. All three sons served the Confederacy and returned home. John M. Phillips 5/2/1873 - abt 1885 son of Solomon and Cynthia (Bradshaw) Phillips Adolphus Phillips Born 7/21/1878 Died as a young child Son of Solomon and Cynthia (Bradshaw) Phillips NOTES: Solomon F. Phillips is buried in the Phillips Family Cemetery of Marion County. His father was Elijah (1796 - bef 1871). Elijah's wife Rebecca (1801 - 1866) is also buried there as well as children from both Eijah and Rebecca and Solomon and his wife Cynthia Jane Bradshaw. This Elijah has three sons, Solomon, Elijah (Jr.) and Thomas. All three sons were in Co. B 31st GA Inf. The older Elijah and his son, Solomon, were Primitive Baptist preachers. Solomon's son, James William ( 1866- 1941) is my grandfather. There is a family plot in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Butler, Tayor County. That is the James William Phillips family plot. The Phillips family association with Bethel goes back to the older Elijah. The younger Elijah is the only one of the three sons that moved to Alabama and stayed. James William would go with Solomon to Delta, Clay County, Alabama on preaching trips.
