Marion COUNTY GA Guardianship Barnabus Hart File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Dorothy Garrison http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/marion/court/hart.txt "This is a page I copied from the Marion County Inferior Court Records which had to do with the records of 1844." This was furnished by Rena S. Cobb to Dorothy Garrison.. (My ancestor is Barnabus Hart 1801-1873 and his first wife, Mary Polly Olive Land so most of my information will be about his family.)DBG "It appearing to the court on the petition of Barnabus Hart that William Martin, a free person of color and who desires that the said Barnabus Hart should be his guardian to act for him and all lawful business. Therefore, a motion ordered that that the said Barnabus Hart be and is hereby appointed guardian of the person, property, and effects of the said William Martin and do transact all lawful business for him." Burton W. Dowd, Administrator on the estate of Thomas Peebles VS Superior Court ? Et fa in Marion Martin ( or Wallis) R. Lockett? This is on the bottom of copy of original record as is recorded in oldest existing book which predated the Marion County of November 4, 1845. The book is in the safe of the Office of Probate court. ======================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
