Knoweth men by these presents that I Benjamin Burton for an in consideration 
of the live and affection which I have for my brother, Robert Burton and for 
in further consideration of five dollars to me in hand paid and delivered 
before sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which id herby 
acknowledged given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give 
grant bargain and sell unto the said Robert Burton and his heirs the following 
named negroes by Aleck Clarissa Louisa and Billy togehter with t?? and 
increase tp have and hold said egroes to him the said Robert N Burton  and his 
heirs forever and the said Benjamin Burton for himself his heirs executors 
administrators and assigns the above named negroes to him the said Robert N 
Burton his heirs executors administrators and assigns shall and will wa?? and 
forever defend against all claims or demands of all persons whatever. Witness 
my hand and seal this 27th day of January 1847

Received 27th January 1847 from Robert N Burton Executor full an complete 
satifaction for all demands I have in legacies due me from Estate of my 
deceased mother Eliza Smith also received from the said Benjamin Burton 
Executor as the natural guardian of my son Thomas W Burton the legacies left 
him by his deceased grandmother the said Eliza Smith.
