Georgia Marion County
This indenture made and entered into this the ?? day of March in the year of 
our Lord between Benjamin Story of the one part and John Hanks of the other 
part, both of said County and State above written. Witnesseth that the said 
Benjamin Story for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and fifty 
dollars paid at and before the sealing and delivery of this presents the 
receipt of which is acknowledged, hath this day bargained and sold unto the 
said John Hanks all that tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in  
the county of Muscogee County originally now Marion County, known and 
distunguished in the plans of said county as Lot (no.212) two hundred twelve 
in the fifth district of said County containing two hundred two hundred two 
and half acres more or less.
To have and to hold the said baragins ?? unto the said John Hanks him his 
executors administrators and assigns the said bargained possessing unto the 
John Hanks his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns will warrant and 
forever defend against the claim of myself my heirs and all other persons 
whatsoever.
In ?? whereof the Benjamin Story hath hereonto set his hand and affizes his 
seal the day and year above written.
