Witnesseth that the said Pleasant Woodall for and in consideration of the Sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and the said Henry Melton his heirs and assigns the South half of lot of land situate lying and being in the thirty first (31) district of Originally Lee now Marion County known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number one hundred and seventy six (176) containing one hundred 16 acres more or less with all the rights members and appurtanences thereunto belonging to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of land unto him the said Henry Melton his heirs and assigns together with all the rights members and appurtenances to the said parcel of land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Pleasant Woodall for himself his heirs Executors and administrators the said bargained premises together with the right title and possession thereof unto the said Henry Melton his heirs and assigns will warrant forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. In testimony whereof the said Pleasant Woodall hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
