Dear Sir

We have organized a Troop of Cavalry in this County of which I have been 
honored with the Command.

At our last muster 37 appeared in uniform. A greater number have procured 
uniforms & will appear so uniformed at our next muster.

The object of this Communication is to learn whether we can be suplied with 
arms.  Will your Excellency have the goodness to inform me by the last Saturday 
in this Month whether you are authorized to supply us from the above statement, 
also what else will be necessary for us to do -- in order to procure them.
