P. Munro, of Buena Vista. The wedding occurred on Thursday evening at the residence of the brides father Captain Tom Merritt, on College street. The happy home presented a beautiful appearnce on the auspicious occasion. The parlors were exquisitely adorned with flowers, lovely roses and golden rod were banked in every available place. A unique hall decoration was a portiere of ivy and vines. The effect was artistic in the extreme, and the handiwork much admired. At seven o'clock Professor Schneider sounded the inspiring notes of the wedding march, and in the presence of relatives and friends the nuptial vows were plighted. The ceremony was gracefully and solemnly performed by the Rev. Mr. Vaughn of Macon. The bride wore a stylish gray traveling suit trimmed with elegant cut steel ornaments, fashioned with Grecian draperies, which displayed to perfection her graceful and strikingly handsome figure. After the ceremony and congratulations, the bridal party and invited friends repaired to the dining hall, where a tempting wedding feast had been prepared. The table had for its centerpiece an elegant epergne of ferns, and brilliant gereniums, fruits, flowers and other ornaments. The bride was the receipient of many handsome presents. Among the guests from a distance who graced the occasion were Miss Murphy from Barnesville; Misses Merritt and Miss Helen Worthy, from Friendship. Messrs. Sidney Rushin, W. D. Crawford, B. S. Miller and W. E. Butt from Buena Vista. Friends in the city in attendance were: Misses Laura Brown, Carrie Brannon, Anna Harrold, Carrie Spear, Bee Clegg, Ibb Prince, Nina Williams, Mrs. Walter Dye, Dessrs. W. K. Wheatley, Harrold Boone, Ben Worthy. At 8 o'clock Mr. and Mrs. Munro departed by the Savannah and Western train for their home in Buena Vista. This union was an ideal one in every way. The bride was a great favorite; she is a charmingly cultivated woman, and the groom is to be congratulated on his good fortune in winning such a congenial wife. Col. Munro is a leading lawyer of Buena Vista and is throughly appreciated in his home. May their lives be one of continued bliss.
