R. Minter, Jr., arrived from Florida last Saturday afternoon and were buried at the Methodist cemetery, Rev. Geo. S. Johnstone officiating. It was intended that the remains reach here Friday afternoon but they missed connection at Albany. He had many friends in this section who were pained to learn of the sad accident. Mr. Minter's death was the result of a deplorable incident. A lad of twelve years had started out bird hunting and stopped for a moment at Mr. Minter's home, where he was to be joined by a companion. Mr. Minter was talking pleasantly to the little fellows when one of them accidently discharged his gun. The entire charge, fired at very close range, took effect in Minter's neck, breaking it, and of course killling him instantly.
