Albert Hart, a prominent farmer and merchant, of Draneville was shot and dangerously wounded this morning by a trusty convict. The bullet entered the left breast just below the heart, ranged across the body, and was removed by surgeons just above the right hip. Mr. Hart was rushed by automobile to Wise’s Hospital at Plains, where an operation was performed. At last account he was doing as well as could be expected. The convict has been arrested and carried out of county for safe keeping.
