Stevens is now in the fruit shipping business and ships something nearly every day to New York. He buys the fruit on the trees and gathers it himself in order to get it in the proper stage for shipping. Farmers who have any nice varieties of peaches, plums, pears or any other kinds of fruit to sell should see Mr. Stevens and get his prices on fruit on the trees. Bicycle Meet There will be a bicycle meet at Americus today in which a number of amateur wheelmen will enter for the prizes, which will be a gold watch, gold medals, gold head cane and other articles. Lelius Blue will represent Buena Vista in the race, and will ride a No. 10, 22 pound Monarch, which are sold by the PATRIOT Store in Buena Vista.
