Mr. N.D. Halley was all smiles last Tuesday. It’s a nine and a half pound boy. The Tazewell Sunday School was organized the first Sunday in this month Prof. Parham acting as superintendent enrolled fifty-seven members. May this Sabbath school come to life again and cast its shining pearls throughout the community is the wish of the writer. Miss Rena Halley will go to Americus in a few days to attend school. Mrs. M.R. Edwards and Mrs. C.C. Owens visited relatives at Americus and Dawson the past week. Hon. W.T. Stewart was reminded of his birthday by his wife inviting their children and grandchildren in to a well spread table on last Sunday. The farmers have been doing some nice work in their farms for the past two weeks preparing the soil for corn and cotton. Mr. Ed Pickard, while in a difficulty with a negro boy living on his place, had his finger badly bitten by the boy. Messrs. M.N. and D.W. Fouche and Mr. Billie Wells went dovehunting Wednesday.
