We had the pleasure of meeting last week Judge Crawford, of Marion County.   We 
had heard and been informed, as it was true, that at the last session of the 
county court of his county, over which court he very ably and acceptably 
presides a certain colored man stole a coat out of a store in Buena Vista.  He 
was caught with the stolen coat upon his person, brought back to town, 
arraigned before the court, convicted and sentenced to the chain gang within 
two hours from the time the theft was committed.  No delay of justice in that 
case.  We were prepared to believe that Judge Crawford is very popular in his 
county, as we had already heard.
