We are pleased to learn that Hon. J.S. Rogers, of Marion County, and one of the 
wealthiest men of this section of the state has purchased the John D. Walker 
interest in the Bank of Mauk and will in the future finance this institution, 
which means that this bank will be able to extend its accommodations to more of 
its friends than ever before.  The increased interest Mr. Rogers has assumed is 
universally appreciated in that section of the county said one of the bank’s 
stockholders to us yesterday.
