Sunday afternoon while out joy riding, Messrs. Robert Stokes and Eugene Reese 
happened to a serious accident between Americus and Smithville.  While Mr. 
Stokes who was operating the automobile attempted to pass Mr. McNulty of 
Americus, the cars struck.  Mr. Reese was thrown out and has been quite lame 
from his fall.  Both cars were damaged.  – Marion County Patriot
