Williams was completely destroyed by fire at an early hour this morning, entailing a loss of something over $5,000, which is only partially covered by insurance. The cook was starting to prepare breakfast and was using the oil stove. In some manner the oil ignited and an explosion followed. The burning oil spread over the entire room and in a moment the building was a fire in a half dozen places. The fire spread so rapidly that it was impossible to save but a small portion of the household effects.
