Some person entered the office of Judge W.D. Crawford at the courthouse opening the window, broke open his desk and carried off a lot of papers. After this he found the oil over the desk and saturated the desk and papers. It is supposed that he intended to set fire to the desk, but afterwards decided not to do so. It is presumed that the party thought Judge Crawford had some paper damaging to him and his case and took this means of destroying them. – Marion County Patriot File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/marion/newspapers/nw1431judgewdc.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
