Knowlton’s Spring

It is not generally known, but it is a fact, that there is a mineral spring on 
the place of Mr. Charles Knowlton, in the eastern part of the county, 
possessing undoubted medicinal properties, being highly impregnated with iron, 
magnesia, sulphur, etc.  Mr. Knowlton is now building a large, new and handsome 
residence with the especial view of entertaining those who desire to get the 
benefit of the healing waters.
