Mr. W.B. Champion, of Greenville, Miss., called to see us Monday.  He was at 
one time a citizen of Marion County, and this was his first visit since he left 
here twenty years ago.  Though the crops here are much better than he expected 
to see, he says they are insignificant compared with those on the Mississippi 
bottoms, as they consider it a very poor cotton crop if they do not get a bale 
to the acre.
