Ordination Services

Dr. E.T. Mathis was ordained a deacon of the Baptist church last Sunday with 
appropriate ceremonies.  Rev. A.L. Moncrief, assisted by Dr. B.L. Ross and Rev. 
A.P. Ashurst, conducted the ceremonies.  Dr. Mathis is one of the best men we 
have ever known – generous, kind and a good Christian – and he will wear the 
honor conferred upon him worthily.  There was a large congregation at the 
church Sunday to witness these ceremonies.
