J.D. Wilson at Pineville a one room log house around which cluster some historical reminiscences. It is the house that was occupied by Mr. Temple, the first representative of Marion County after its formation in 1827. The house is now in a somewhat dilapidated condition. Mr. J.F. Rushin has a silver sugar ladle which he says is one hundred and fifty years old. He received it as an heirloom from his grandfather’s estate, and says it has been in the family for several generations.
