School Population

The census takers of the school population of Marion County have brought in 
their returns, and the county school commissioner, Dr. W.J. Reese, has 
furnished us the following information concerning the number of children in the 
county between the ages of six and eighteen: Whites 1313 and Colored 1674, 
making a total of 2087.  The census was completed June 1st, 1888.
