A Remarkable Family

Mr. R.B. Goodroe, of Brantley, celebrated his fifty-fifth birthday Monday the 
14th by a family reunion of his children and grandchildren.  Mr. Goodroe and 
wife have raised eight children (all that have been born to them) all of whom 
are living around them and doing well.  They are all members of the church.  
Twenty grandchildren rise up to bless their memory.  Mr. Goodroe and wife 
started in this life without any means to aid them but by honesty, integrity, 
frugality and perseverance, they have raised and aided their children and now 
have a competency and owe, according to the scriptural command, no man.  The 
day was spent in singing and religious devotion.  May their children and 
grandchildren follow the example of their parents and bless the world by living 
in it.
