Rushin as a farmer we desire to speak of now. He is one of the most successful farmers in the county, and never buys a pound of meat or a bushel of corn, but on the contrary has some of these articles for sale every year. It was only a short while ago that he sold hams of his last fall killing and those who have ever gone off on a camp fish with him can attest to the sweetness and genuineness of his country hams. He makes his farm self-sustaining and instead of having his nose to the grindstone, as the saying goes, he always has plenty and to spare. We wish Marion County had more of as successful farmers as J.F. Rushin.
