Celebrating a Birthday

Last Friday evening a large number of young folks assembled at the residence of 
Mr. Hamp Stevens to attend a party, given in celebration of the birthday of 
Miss Rowena Wiggins.  Mrs. Stevens has the art of making those around her enjoy 
themselves, and assisted by Miss Rowena and Mrs. Roberts, she fairly surpassed 
herself on this occasion.  At a seasonable hour elegant refreshments were 
served, to the pleasure of all.  So pleasant was the affair that the time 
passed swiftly and it was a late hour before the guests departed to their 
homes, each wishing Miss Rowena many happy returns of her birthday.
