Last February fourteen years ago this editor purchased the cylinder press upon which the paper is at present printed, and old man Ames has turned off every edition, with but few exceptions, since the press was put in. In the fourteen years there are 728 weeks and allowing 1,000 impressions per week would make 728,000 impressions in the fourteen years. The crank wheel turns five times to each impression so the old man had to crook his elbow 3,640,000 times to do this printing. This makes not account of the extra two months since February nor the extra impressions on large job work done on the press.
