Sweet Charity

Miss Lizzie Mauk and Mr. Lem Moore have been soliciting aid among their friends 
this week to buy a roller chair for Miss Mattie Hayes, a cripple who lives near 
Rabbit in this county.

The chair will cost about $25.00, have rubber wheels and be a great blessing to 
a good woman.

Miss Hayes has been a cripple since childhood, unable to take a step on her 
feet, but in spite of this, she is known as a noble Christian character, and 
has a heart tender and charitable towards any and all who need sympathy.

It certainly should be a pleasure to anyone to contribute something to her 
comfort.

Rabbit Items

Miss Mattie Hays, had presented to her last week a rolling chair by her many 
friends which we hope will be of great service to her.  We think this is one of 
the nicest gifts that could have been made because it is something she has 
needed for a number of years.  And we feel assured that no one would appreciate 
being remembered by her friends more than Miss Mattie.

Thanks

Not being physically able to write each one who helped to buy the roller chair 
that is of such a great help and comfort to me, I take this means of expressing 
my most sincere thanks to all who assisted in any way in raising the funds to 
buy the chair.
