Clements and daughter, Miss Dovie, and Dr. M.R. Edwards have gone to Hot Springs, Ark., where they will hope to receive a benefit from the waters there. Dr. Edwards has never recovered from his long spell in the spring, and Mr. Clements has been suffering from rheumatism. They are both very prominent citizens of our county and have hundreds of warm friends who wish them complete and speedy restoration to health. The Marion County Patriot, No. 38 September 25, 1903 Page Six Local and Personal From a private letter we learn that Mr. R.E. Clements and Dr. M.R. Edwards who went to Hot Springs a short time ago for their health are improving. The improvement in Mr. Clements is specially marked and he will doubtless soon be entirely well. The Marion County Patriot, No. 40 October 9, 1903 Page Five Local and Personal Mr. R.E. Clements has returned from Hot Springs, Ark. Where he spent several weeks for his health. He returned very much improved. Mr. Clements says that Dr. Edwards is not doing so well and that he will return home this week.
