At County Line, two miles away, it rained very little in five weeks and the crops are suffering. There is very little fruit in this section. What few peaches we have are affected with worms and hardly fit to eat. Mrs. Valona Duke and Miss Nora Harris, of Pineville, visited their parents here Saturday and Sunday. Mr. W.H. Weed and family visited relatives in Chattahoochee County Saturday. The church at County Line will hold its annual meeting Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15, 16 and 17. Gus Urquhart, Amos Harris and Emmet Jackson spent Sunday with Misses Bessie, Odessa and Alice Harris. Master Tom Storey, of Blueville, visited relatives here Sunday. Several young men attended preaching at Mt. Pisgah Sunday. Misses Mattie, Beatrice and Clara Walker, of Gopher Ridge, visited Miss Blanche Weed Monday.
