Mr. Henry Patten and family, of Schley county, visited at the home of Mr. A. H. Donnan last Saturday and Sunday. Prof W. T. Mackey returned from Ellaville last Saturday bringing his wheel with him. Rev. S. C. Smith preached at Acres Chapel last Saturday afternoon. Mr. John Anthony, of Wilchar Level, was in our ville last Saturday. Mr. C. W. Pickard visited relatives near Marshalville last week. The Patriot is always a welcome visitor to our home. Mr. M. R. Edwards and Mrs. G. W. Owens returned home Sunday from a visit at the home of Mrs. S. Sims, of near LaGrange. Mr. G. W. Owens, formerly of Dawson, now of West Point, is visiting at the home of his mother, Mrs. M. A. Owens. Mr. M. W. Fouche visited at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. H. Fouche, last Sunday. We are sorry to learn of the death of Mr. R. B. Perry, which occurred Monday at his home in Wilcox county. He was stricken with paralysis Sunday and lived only twenty-four hours. Mr. Perry was once a resident of this county where he has many relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The people in this community where he was best known sympathize with the bereaved family and kindred. It is sad to part with those we love, but I hope his loss is their eternal gain. The protracted meeting that was spoken of at the Baptist church in last weeks correspondence did not continue this week on account of the busy times with the farmers, but will protract the meeting in the near future. A large crowd is expected here to attend the singing next Sunday. A plenty of rain and crops growing nicely.
