Story last week. Mrs. J.B. McBrayer spent last Wednesday in Buena Vista. We are glad to say that Mr. R.L. Story, who was very sick last week, is rapidly improving. Misses Dobbs, McCrary and McBrayer visited Mrs. F.R. Harrison at Curran last Friday evening. Quite a crowd attended church at Union Sunday. Miss Elise McBrayer was numbered with the sick last week. Mr. J.B. and F.H. Dobbs were in Buena Vista one day this week. Messrs. Walls spent Sunday afternoon with the Misses Dobbs. Misses Elise McBrayer and Floyd Story took a stroll to Curran Monday. Little Miss Jamie Dobbs was very sick last week. Messrs. Taylor and McMichael were in our city Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Goettings passed through our city Monday enroute to Glenalta. School will close Friday. The Marion County Patriot, No. 18 Friday, May 14, 1909 Page Three Zellobee Miss Floyd Story is visiting relatives at Seminole this week. A crowd from here attended church at old Glenalta Sunday. Misses McCrary and McBrayer spent Saturday in Buena Vista. Messrs. Wall, Taylor and McMichael called on their best girls here Sunday. Miss McCrary returned to her home in Geneva, Monday after a two months’ stay in the city. Mr. Scott, of Seminole, spent Sunday with relatives here. Messrs. J.B and F.S. McBrayer were in Buena Vista Saturday. Miss Huges, of Pineville, passed through the city Friday. Maud Muller The Marion County Patriot, No. 19 Friday, May 21, 1909 Page Three Zellobee Mr. J.H. Cumbers, of Columbus, was attending to business in the city Thursday. Miss Floyd Story returned home Sunday after a week’s stay at Seminole. Mr. J.B. McBrayer was in Buena Vista Saturday. The tax receiver, Mr. Allison, passed through the city Thursday. Messrs. J.R. and J.F. Dobbs were in Buena Vista Saturday. Misses McBrayer and Story and Messrs. Taylor and McBrayer took a stroll up to Curran Sunday afternoon. Mr. Scott, of Seminole, spent a few hours with relatives here Sunday. Little Myrtice Story is on the sick list this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dobles and daughter, Pearl, were in Buena Vista Friday. Messrs. Guy and Fay McBrayer visited in Renfroes Sunday. Mr. J.B. McBrayer spent a few hours in Buena Vista Friday. Miss May Dobbs and Mr. Will Walls were united in marriage at the residence of Squire Lawson Sunday, May 23rd. The marriage was a complete surprise to everyone. We wish them a long and happy life. Mr. R.L. Story was attending to business in Columbus this week. The farmers are making good use of the pretty weather. Mr. Guy McBrayer, of Atlanta, is visiting home folks here. Mr. Cumliers, of Columbus, was in the city Friday. What has become of Mary E. Smith? We miss her very much.
