George Clinton Allen
July 20, 1931 ~ July 29, 2020 (age 89)

Mr. George Clinton Allen, 89, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, 
July 29, 2020, at his residence. A private family graveside service will be 
held at Oakland Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Thompson officiating.

Mr. Allen was born July 20, 1931, in Chattahoochee County, GA, to William Gus 
and Thelma Youngblood Allen. He retired from the Ft. Benning Army Air Force 
Exchange where he managed the PX. Mr. Allen was a member of Pine Grove Church 
in Beulah, AL. He was a Godly man and loved the Lord. He was a wonderful 
husband and a great father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in 
death by two brothers, Clarence Allen and Orrel Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley Allen of Phenix City, AL; by 
four daughters, Tracy Rodgers (Johnny), Wendy Bullard (Timmy), Kim Waters 
(Steve), and Kelly Kimbrel (William), a sister, Margie Allen Brandenburg 
(Bill), ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces and 
nephews also survive.

Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has 
been entrusted with these arrangements.
