Mrs. Linda Anthony, 74, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Monday, October 17, 
2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. A memorial service will be held 
at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Ft. Perry Baptist Church.

Mrs. Anthony was born April 26, 1948, to William D. “Bill” and Lois D. Barrett 
Underwood. A member of Ft. Perry Baptist Church, she loved gospel singing. She 
shared her gift of song with surrounding nursing homes and churches.  Mrs. 
Anthony enjoyed working in her yard, especially her flowers. She loved animals.  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul 
Durwood Anthony, Jr., a step-son, Perry Jason Anthony, a brother, Grady 
Underwood, and a sister, Betty Louise Jones.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Lamar and Beverly Hudson 
of Delnorte, CO; by a step-daughter, Debra A. and Chris Spann; by a step-son, 
Chris Anthony; a brother Jimmy “Billy” Underwood; a sister, Grace Allen; by 
grandchildren, Lacey and George “Rooster” Allmond, Jeremiah and Jessica Johnson, 
and Christopher Anthony; and by great-grandchildren, Jaelah Johnson, Jonah 
Johnson, Noah Allmond and Luke Allmond.

Way-Watson Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, has been entrusted with the 
arrangements.
