Ana Baez, 68, of Buena Vista, Georgia, died Friday, January 8, 2010, at St. 
Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral Services were held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2010, in the 
Chapel of Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Jose Resto officiating. Burial 
followed in the Buena Vista Cemetery. The family received friends at the 
funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm. 

Mrs. Baez was born January 19, 1942, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, to Baudiliono Baez 
and Rafaela Madera. She worked for the military in the Post Exchange as a 
stock control. Coming from Columbus, she had been living in Buena Vista for 
the past 15 years.  She was a loving person and active in her church 
especially in the Spanish communities of Americus, Columbus and the 
surrounding areas. She was a member of the Iglesia “Jesus Es El Señor.” She 
was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Wilfredo Baez, a daughter, Enid Isset Fraser, 
and a son, Esteban Baez, all of Buena Vista, GA and by a grandson, Alexander 
Fraser of Pittsburg, PA.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
