Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, 2 P.M. with Rev. Bob Powell and Rev. Ronald E. Brawner officiating. Pallbearers will be James O'Hern, Brandon McMillion, Nic Clark, Matt Andrews, Sherwood Colwell, and Eddy Tefft. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 6-8 P.M. Mrs. Bell, daughter of the late Arlie Edwards and Mamie Hand Edwards, was born July 13, 1939 in Juniper, GA. She was a member of Pine Mountain Valley Church of God, formerly a member of Eastside Assembly, and also earlier attended Hillcrest Church of God. Mrs. Bell worked for several years at Spectrum Service Station on Victory Drive. She is survived by her husband, Fred Bell of Columbus; son, Floyd O'Hern of Columbus; step-son, Alex Bell and his wife Christina of Sachet, TX.; daughters, Dianne McCallister and her husband Mike of Mauk, GA., and Veronica McMillion and her husband Mike of Smith Station, AL.; brothers, Louis Edwards Jr., and his wife Geneva of Juniper, GA.; Lamar Edwards and his wife Mary of Columbus, GA.; sister, Louise Tefft and her husband Paul of Hamilton, GA.; grandchildren, Michelle Atcheson and her husband Gary, James O'Hern, Brandon, Brittany, and Blake McMillion, Adam, Victoria and Alexis Bell; great-grandchildren, Ada and Kayla Atcheson; beloved friends, Deloris and Gene Pitts of Waverly Hall, GA.
