BUENA VISTA --- Misty Dianna Mitchell Blackston, 55, of Buena Vista, GA, died 
Monday, October 27, 2014, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 1, 
2014, at Turner's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 911 Roberta Highway, 
Butler, GA, with Pastor Sam Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends 
at the funeral home on Friday, October 31, 2014, from 6-8PM. Serving as 
pallbearers will be Jeremy Underwood, Terry Mitchell, Casey Tompkins, Tim Hart, 
Doug Zink, and Torrey Zink.

Mrs. Blackston was born September 18, 1959, in Barnesville, GA, to John Torrance 
and Reba Suddeth Mitchell.  She was Baptist by faith and had been employed as a 
corrections officer at the State Prison.  She was preceded in death by her 
father and by a brother, Matt Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Blackston, of Ellaville, GA; by her mother, 
Reba Suddeth Gilbert, of Buena Vista, GA; by her children, Mandy and Tim Hart of 
Buena Vista, GA, Brandon and Amber Gibson of Buena Vista, GA, and Felicia and 
Jeremy Underwood of Tazewell, GA; four sisters, Rhonda and Doug Zink of Ft. 
Mitchell, AL, Marie Solomon of Hiram, GA, Tonya and Denne Conway of Longwood, 
FL, and Tina Mitchell of Apopka, FL; five brothers, Terry and Chrystal Mitchell 
of North Ft. Myers, FL, Aaron and Pam Moody of Phenix City, AL, Tim and Cindy 
Mitchell of Nashville, GA, John Mitchell of Nashville, GA; and Nathan Mitchell 
of Apopka, FL; and four grandchildren, Zachary Baker, Jordin Gibson, Jacob 
Underwood, and Trevor Underwood.  Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and cousins also 
survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these 
arrangements.
