Family Funeral Program
BLUE, MORRIS
Mr. Blue was born July 15, 1922 to Sol and Hyacinth Story Blue.  He attended 
public schools of Marion County, GA.  He was a member of  Mount Olive 
Missionary Baptist Church and married Ruth Ella Grundy, January 17, 1942.  
They were blessed with seven children.  He was employeed of Cargill (formerly 
Dent Poultry) Poultry Processing Plant 26 years and given the Silver 
Retirement Award for his dedication.  Mr. Blue died April 25, 1993 at his 
residence in Tazewell, GA.  Funeral held Saturday, May 1, 1993 in the 
Sanctuary of Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tazewell; burial in Cedar 
Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.   Reverend Joe Oglesby, officiated.  
Pallbearers: Maude Blue, Corey Brown, Alonzo Brown, Claude Blue, Anthony 
Perry, Rodney Perry, Ralph E Blue Jr.; His wife and his nephew Brian Kevin 
Bryant preceded him in death.  Survivors include his 3 daughters, Mrs. Ella 
Ruth (Walter) King of Ellaville, GA, Mrs. Mary (Phillip) Perry of Ellaville, 
GA, Mrs. Yvonne (Richard) Brown of Mauk, GA; 3 sons, Maude (Mary) Blue of 
Swedesboro, NJ, Claude Blue of Columbus, GA, Ralph (Gloria) Blue of Buena 
Vista, Major (Daphne) Blue of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Annie Kate Davis of 
Hartford, CT; 2 brothers, O C Blue and William Blue, both of Hartford, CT; 
nine grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Bessie Grundy of 
New York, NY, Vernice Grundy Sales and Juanita Grundy, both of Philadelphia, 
PA.
