James Arthur Bridges
SEPTEMBER 1, 1955 ~ FEBRUARY 5, 2019 (AGE 63)

James A. Bridges, age 63, of Buena Vista, GA, died on Tuesday, February 5, 
2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.  A memorial service will be 
held on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Watson-Tante 
Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Whitt officiating.

Mr. Bridges was born September 1, 1955, to Baker and Annie Jean Hancock 
Bridges. He graduated Marion County High School in 1974, and joined the United 
States Navy.  Mr. Bridges was self-employed as a mechanic and had been 
previously employed with Robinson Paving and J & D Expediting. He loved his 
children and grandchildren. Mr. Bridges was a generous and selfless soul who 
would always lend a helping hand. He loved to laugh and joke around. He was 
preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a son, Adam Wiggins and wife Michelle of Buena Vista, GA; by 
a brother, Elbert Bridges of Florida; and by four grandchildren, Ariel 
Wiggins, Cheyenne Wiggins, Ashley Scott, and Dylan Scott.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia is in charge of 
arrangements.
