Tante Funeral Home   October 2007
Pearl W. Chalkley, 97, of Buena Vista, GA, died Wednesday, October 23, 2007, 
at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at 
Union United Methodist Church Cemetery in Buena Vista, with Reverend Raymond 
Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends at Tante Funeral Home 
Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Chalkley was born October 1, 1910 in Marion County, GA, daughter of the 
late Robert Lee Welch and Lydia Lou Johnson.  She was a lifelong resident of 
Marion County and was of the Methodist faith. She attended Union United 
Methodist Church in Marion County. She was preceded in death by her husband 
Andrew Chalkley, her son Inman Chalkley, sisters Ann Welch, Nell McElhiney, 
and Kate Covington, and by brothers Arthur Welch, Robert “Rab” Welch, and 
Roscoe “Rooster” Welch.  

Mrs. Chalkley is survived by her son Robert Wayne and June Chalkley and by a 
daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Chalkley all of Buena Vista; 2 grandchildren, Pam 
and Mike DeLapp of Panama City, FL, and Jana and Matt Martin of Fortson, GA; 
and 1 great grandchild, Colton DeLapp also survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of arrangements.
