Gene “Fish” Christian, age 83, of Buena Vista, GA, died Friday, December 3, 
2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A graveside funeral service was held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 05, 2010, 
at Buena Vista Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman officiating.

Mr. Christian was born in Clayton, AL, on September 15, 1927, to Tilman 
Allison and Gussie Paris Christian. He served in the Army and worked for 
Burgin Lumber Company as a Logger.  A lifelong resident of both Buena Vista 
and Cusseta, he was Baptist by faith and a member of New Providence Baptist 
Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, 
Beecher Christian and his sister, Beulah Rounds.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Annette Christian of Buena Vista; two 
nieces, Beth & Rob McDaniel of Darien, GA and Kathleen Rounds of Charlotte, 
NC; two nephews, David Rounds of Livermore, CA and Chris Rounds of Reno, NV; 
and several great nieces and great nephews.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, was in charge of arrangements.
