Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Brian Bentley and Reverend Clyde Grimsley officiating. Tonya Preston will provide the music. Burial will follow at Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Meriwether County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7-9 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Allen Coe, Otis Dwayne Stewart, Rodney Eugene Stewart, Phillip Duane Stewart, Scotty Coe, Jr., Zach Spraggins, Dalton McFarland, and Richard Lamar Coe. Mr. Coe was born October 19, 1937, in Meriwether County, GA, to Otis and Lizzy Pearl Lee Coe. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church. He moved from Meriwether County to Schley County in 1974. He was employed as a farmer and in construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, an infant and Timothy Howard Coe, by three brothers Willie Clyde Coe, Robert Coe, and Davis Coe, and by a great- granddaughter, Zoey Emma Rose. He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Waters Coe of Ellaville, by two sons, Scott L. and Lisa Coe and Norman Ray and Michele Coe, all of Ellaville, GA; by four daughters, Lisa Pearl Hammack of Talbotton, GA, Sheila Sears Rolf of Box Springs, GA, Teresa Faye and Ben Stewart of Thomaston, GA, and Janet Mae Coe of Box Springs, GA. One sister, Minnie Mae Kimbrell of Zebulon, GA, 17 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
