Local News

Mrs. A.E. Cook, mother of our good citizen, Mr. G.W. Cook, died Sunday night 
about midnight.  More than three weeks ago Mrs. Cook fell and broke here hip.  
She had the best of care and medical attention but all that loving and willing 
hands could do could not relieve her.  She died at Columbus and was buried at 
Cusseta Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Cook was about 75 years old and for 50 years has lived within eighteen 
miles of Buena Vista.  She leaves eight sons, two daughters and a host of 
friends.  The sympathy of all are with the children in their deep sorrow.
