James H. Covington, 76, of Buena Vista, GA, died Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 
Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 2:00PM 
at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman 
officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, 
January 25, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Mr. Covington was born November 20, 1937, in Marion County, GA, to James Wilburn 
and Mattie Willie Welch Covington. He was a member at Union United Methodist 
Church. He had been employed as the plant manager at C&W Cabinet Company and 
later at Oakcrest Lumber. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was preceded 
in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Covington; a son, James Kenneth and Angela 
Covington; a daughter, Carol Ann Elliott; a brother, Joseph Weston and Kay 
Covington; a sister, Josephine and Ferrell Cook, all of Buena Vista, GA. Three 
grandchildren, Christopher James and Nina Covington, Victoria Gail Covington, 
and Caitlyn Elliott also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these 
arrangements.
