Watson- Tante Funeral Home  Buena Vista GA  July 30 2012
Donald K. Cox, 78, of Cusseta, GA, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at St. Francis 
Hospital in Columbus, GA.
 
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Buena 
Vista First Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Hess officiating. The family 
will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8PM.
 
Mr. Cox was born November 12, 1934, in Covington County, Alabama, to Curtis L. 
Cox Sr. and Eva Cox. He attended Buena Vista First Baptist Church.  He was in 
the Army, serving in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Army 
after 27 ½ years of service.  He was the owner and operator of the Four Winds 
Restaurant, Home of the Ranger Burger, in Cusseta, GA. He had been living in 
the area for the past 35 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in 
death by a son, David Allen Brannon, two brothers, Lynwood Cox and Curtis L. 
Cox, Jr. and a sister, Mary Lois Chambers.
 
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Susan Cox of Cusseta, GA; by two 
sons, Murray Timothy A. and Rebecca Cox of Moses Lake, WA, and Donald Kenneth 
and Sheila Cox, Jr. of Opelika, AL; by a sister, Jeannett Mathews of Florala, 
AL; and by two grandchildren, Emily Nichole Cox Hakness and Lily Gwendolyn 
Hakness.
 
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these 
arrangements.
