A prayer service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 20. 2021, at Way-Watson Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Hudson officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Due to Covid-19, face coverings are encouraged and please practice social distancing. Mr. Currington was born on August 1, 1987, in Columbus, GA, to Wayne Currington and Catherine Adkins Currington. Baptist by faith, he grew up in Geneva Baptist Church where he was a member. Mr. Currington was a family man and he was a good father, husband, and son. He loved everyone, especially his four children. Mr. Currington enjoyed being outdoors fishing and grilling with his family and friends. He was a good friend and never met a stranger. Mr. Currington will be missed by all who knew him – numerous family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herbert Currington, Sr. and Vera Currington, by his maternal grandfather, James Homer Adkins, by a sister, Jackie Currington, and by his uncles, Harold (Bubba) Currington, Jack Currington, and Andy Adkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Currington; by his four children, Jack Currington, Jr., Cassie Currington, Grace Currington, and Kayson Currington; by his parents, Wayne and Catherine Currington; by a brother, Gary Wayne Currington; by a sister, Tina Marie Baughcum; by his maternal grandmother, Eva R. McDaniel; his aunt Barbara A. Hammock; by five uncles, Charlie Currington, Robert Lewis Adkins, James Lee Adkins, Mark Adkins, and Richard Adkins.
