Madeline Daniels

Mrs. Madeline H. Daniels, 86 of Gainesville formerly of Buena Vista, Ga. died 
Sunday March 26, 2017.

Born in Cuthbert, Georgia, Mrs. Daniels was the daughter of the late John W., 
Sr., and Arrey Lou Boyd Henson.  Mrs. Daniels had lived in Buena Vista for 54 
years before moving to Gainesville, Ga., in December of 2007.  She was retired 
from the Marion County Board of Education and was a former member of the First 
Baptist Church of Buena Vista.  She was a lifetime charter member of the 
Beautiful View Garden Club, Buena Vista and was a Layboard member of 
Chattahoochee-Flint RESA Board of Control.  After moving to Gainesville, she 
became a member of the First Baptist Church Gainesville and a member of the 
Gleaners Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law; Lydia D. Park; Brenda D. and 
Mitch Harrington; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Susan Daniels, all of 
Gainesville;  sister and brother-in-law, Nettie and Bob Roessner, Springfield, 
NJ; sister, Carolyn H. Gaspard, Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Larry Henson, 
Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Justin Harrington and fiance, Kati 
Pickowitz, Taylor Daniels, Julie Daniels, Clayton Hester (Allison), Sterling 
Park (Amy), Mitch Harrington, Jr., and 7 great grandchildren, Cody Harrington 
(Chynna), Jake Harrington, Emma Kate, Lucy, Helen, and Amelia Park, and Henley 
Hester.  A number of aunts, and cousins also survive.

Mrs. Daniels is preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Harold L. Daniels, 
Sr. and son-in-law, James R. "Bubba" Park.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 28, 2017 in the chapel 
of the First Baptist Church on Green Street.  Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.  
Interment will be in the Buena Vista Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.  The family 
will receive friends in the parlor of First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 
11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to 
the Music Suite at First Baptist Church Gainesville, 751 Green Street, 
Gainesville, Ga. 30501 in memory of Mrs. Daniels.
