Ricky Davis
April 24, 1958 ~ January 23, 2020 (age 61)

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Donald Davis, 61, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on 
Thursday, January 23, 2020, at his residence. A celebration of life will be 
held on February 22, 2020, from 1:00-3:00pm at the Davis residence, 45 Ronnie 
Road, Buena Vista, GA.

Mr. Davis was born April 24, 1958, to Jerry Donald and Martha Mae Smith Davis.  
He was retired from South Georgia Technical College as the instructor for the 
Caterpillar Heavy Equipment program.  Ricky enjoyed entertaining his family 
and friends and cooking.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and 
Martha Mae Smith Davis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Davis of Buena Vista, GA; by two 
brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Terri Davis and Chris and Julie Davis, 
all of Tazewell, GA; father and mother-in-law, Hugh and Jan Spinney of Buena 
Vista; a brother-in-law, Chris Spinney and a sister-in-law, Diane Russell; by 
nieces and nephews, Carly and Ben Welch, Trent Davis, Christina Davis, Matthew 
Montgomery; a nephew-in-law, Chad Merritt; his special caregiver, Angela 
Jurado; and his beloved dachshund, Jager.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The South Georgia Technical 
College Foundation, P. O. Box 6102, Americus, GA, 31709. Please note that it 
will be for the Rick Davis Scholarship Fund for CAT Students.
