 Died: Tue Jul 23, 2013

Soledad Ponce de Silva, 78, of Buena Vista, formerly of Mexico, died on 
Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus.
 Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 27, 2013, in the 
Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 
5-7 PM.

 Ms. Ponce de Silva was born on December 15, 1934, in Perral, Chihuahua, 
Mexico to Natalia Enriquez and Jesus Ponce. She was Catholic and had been 
employed as an Apartment Manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded 
in death by her husband, Jesus Silva-Mendez, and children, Graciela Silva-
Ponce, Martin Silva-Ponce, Genoveva Silva-Ponce, and a grandson, Erick Jose 
Gutierrez.
 
She is survived by six sons, Jose Silva Ponce of Chicago, IL, Victor Silva 
Ponce of Cumming, GA, Armando Silva Ponce of Chicago, IL, Juan de Dias Silva 
Ponce of Buena Vista, GA, Jesus Silva Ponce of Mexico and Saul A. Silva Ponce 
of Buena Vista, GA; by four daughters, Rosa M. James of Hoschton, GA, Maria G. 
Gutierrez of Buena Vista, GA, Norma L. Ramirez of Chicago, IN, and Soledad 
Villanueva of Chicago, IL; by four brothers, Manuel Ponce Enriquez of Houston, 
TX, Guerrero Ponce Enriquez, Jesus Ponce Enriquez and Candelario Ponce 
Enriquez, all of Houston, TX; five sisters, Maria Elena Ponce Garcia of 
Antony, NM, Natalia Ponce Bonno of Houston, TX, Maria de Jesus Ponce Lazos and 
Aurelia Ponce Enriquez both of Cumming, GA, and Eva Ponce Amaro of Dallas, TX. 
32 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
 
Watson-Tante Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
