ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Hazel Rigsby Ellis, age 86, of 114 Sullivan Drive, 
Perfect Care, Americus, GA died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at her son’s home 
in Ellaville, GA. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2011, 
11:00 AM at Ellaville United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the 
Ellaville Cemetery. Rev. Lowell Layman, Rev. Brooks Partain, and Rev. Thom 
Davies will officiate. 
Mrs. Ellis was born February 23, 1925 in Schley County, the daughter of Rena 
Halley Rigsby and Ernest Carl Rigsby. She was retired from American General 
Life Insurance Company, a member of the local bridge club, the Rainbow Garden 
Club, the Georgia Sheriff Association Ladies Auxiliary, and a charter member 
of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post191. Mrs. Ellis was also an active 
member of Ellaville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the 
United Methodist Women. Mrs. Ellis loved to spend time with her children, 
grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Survivors include one daughter, Mitzi Way of Ellaville; one son Marc Ellis and 
wife Angie of Ellaville; one sister, Jacqueline Dillard and husband Vernon of 
Ellaville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Amity James and husband 
Steve, Jessica Ellis, Cody Ellis, Sam Way and wife Ashley, Callie Way and 
fiancé Andrew Smith and four great grandchildren, Athon Hines, Andrew James, 
Abbie James, and Parker Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her 
husband, William Marcene Ellis. 
Pallbearers will include Jody Dillard, Garry Greene, Shane Tondee, Neil 
Snider, Ben Snipes and Earl Snipes. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 
7:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in 
Ellaville, GA. 
Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
